The Sirens Lounge joins venues offering restaurants, a salon, and some retail concepts that are inspiring a renaissance of the areas just around Durham’s fabled hotspot, Ninth Street. Sirens makes its home in a renovated building constructed in the early 1900’s. The structure, which originally offered a soda shop, grocery store, and gas station, has been gutted and revitalized with a decidedly sleek stylishness and meticulous design.
Required by North Carolina law to operate as a private club (we do not sell enough food to qualify as a restaurant), The Sirens Lounge offers $1 memberships. Memberships, which are available at the door, allow patrons an unlimited number of guests and discount entry fees. Member information is used exclusively by The Sirens Lounge, and gives us the opportunity to let you know about special events and promotions.
The Sirens Lounge is a proud trade member of the Southeastern Microbrewers Association.
In 2004 and 2005, Sirens won a spot on the Top 10 list for "Best Martini" in the Triangle and was nominated for the "Best Bar Scene" category in the Best Of Cityseach poll!!!
And, guess what??? The lounge is currently declared one of the 7 best spots for hot bartenders in the Triangle by Citysearch. And, we are also recognized by AOL Cityguide as one of the top five Conversation Bars in the Triangle for 2006, and was recently nominated for Best 2007.
The Herald Sun declared Sirens as the Best Private Club in Durham (June 2006). And, as one of the top three in the Triangle by our loyal Independent readers. Thanks to our loyal patrons. We Love You!!!
